India’s elite counter-terrorist force, the National Security Guard (NSG) has taken steps to cut down its response time to 30 minutes, its Director-General N P S Aulakh told Hindustan Times in an exclusive interview.
There was heated debate after the 26/11 attack in Mumbai last year, over
whether the NSG could have reached the spots, where the terrorists were holed up, earlier than they did, and thus saved more lives.
“We can now reach anywhere in big cities within half an hour of getting orders,” said Aulakh.
