With the Dantewada massacre triggering uproar in both houses of Parliament, the opposition BJP on Thursday said that the ruling Congress was a divided house on tackling the Maoist menace. "There are serious differences in the Congress on tackling the Naxals," senior party leader Yashwant
Sinha told reporters outside Parliament House.

Advocating that operations against Naxals should continue, he said the BJP wants that all energies should be directed against the Left wing extremists.

BJP Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde echoed the same views and said the death of security personnel in Dantewada was a setback to the morale of the security forces.

Asked whether the government was divided on tackling the Maoists, Munde said "definitely" and sought strong action against the Naxals.

The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed stormy scenes with members from the Opposition, including BJP, Left, SP and BSP raising the Dantewada Naxal attack, which left 76 security personnel, dead.
