Two jawans of the elite Cobra battalion of CRPF were injured in a Naxal attack in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday, police said. A Cobra team had an encounter with suspected ultras in the same district on Friday night, in which eight villagers and a jawan were killed.
A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an 18-year-old youth, his brother-in-law and an unidentified person in Bijalpur, 135km south west of Indore, the police said.
