While Fletcher's contract as head coach ends in April, opinion is building that an Indian coach should be the likely replacement.
"Fletcher's term is ending, we will review it," a board official told HT. "We will have to think of Indian coaches. A lot of former players and officials are not happy with the new drills that the foreign coaches bring in."
Fletcher took over from Gary Kirsten after India's 2011 World Cup triumph. However, whitewashes in England and Australia and a series loss at home to England have raised questions about his contribution.

Also, Shiv Sena has been threatening the Mumbai Cricket Association about hosting the Pakistan women's team during the World Cup to be held in Mumbai later this month. HT has learnt that the committee is likely to take a call on ways to handle the possible trouble from the political party.
As far as working on the Andhra High Court's decision to revoke the life ban on Md Azharuddin is concerned, the board official said, "They had taken the decision only on technical points, he is still not cleared on moral points. As of now, it stands the way it is for us."
Also, the board is unlikely to lower the eligibility criteria for the one-time benefit as requested by certain players. Besides, a solution to the dispute between Sahara and Maharashtra Cricket Association is expected.
