“I can’t give out too many details yet but one of the films is an adaptation of a classic English play. Both have huge canvases. I should be shooting for them by October,” informs Khan. She says that
she was getting offers even before her debut film,
Nishabd, that released three years ago. “But I couldn’t imagine myself in most of the roles offered to me. But in these two films, I immediately connected with the characters I play,” she says. Is she playing the leading lady? Khan points out that the concept of a leading lady is different in the West. “You can have Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore and Halle Berry in one film with each one playing an important character befitting a leading lady,” she points out. “I have important roles in both my films too.”
‘I got stuck becuause of the volcanic ash’
