Amidst open invitations of the Congress and Left for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the formation of the next government, Lok Janashakti Party of Ram Vilas Paswan on Friday said Kumar was not a secular person and it would not support any future dispensation with Kumar in it. Asked
whether he will support UPA government at the Center, Paswan at the sidelines of a rally told reporters "we will support any secular government but if someone wants us to believe that Nitish Kumar is secular then we will not accept that".

Earlier this month AICC genral secretary Rahul Gandhi had made an open call for Nitish Kumar in New Delhi, while West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee claimed on Thursday that Nitish Kumar showed eagerness to join the Third Front. Bhattacharjee's claim was denied by JD(U).

Speaking at the rally, he said "we will win atleast 134 seats and emerge as a strong force after the election," Paswan said. "If we win then we will give free books, clothes and food to students till graduation, deposit Rs 25,000 if a girl child is born so that the parents can withdraw the money at the time of her marriage, implement Sachchar committee report and take action against the people involved in riots in Gujrat," Paswan said.
