Despite his onscreen liplocks offscreen, Emraan Hashmi is quiet, shy and amused by his image. Ever since his first hit
Murder, with Mallika Sherawat, Hashmi has been doing almost the same stuff.
He informs that this is changing with
Awarapan, which he calls the second
phase of his career.
"I was becoming predictable. I looked same, doing similar films." So the new Hashmi will "attempt different genres through characters as varied as possible."
One can't avoid quizzing him about kissing onscreen. He asserts, "I don't see myself kissing in my forthcoming films too."
Ask him one Hollywood actress he'd like to kiss on-screen and he promptly answers, "The obvious would be Angelina Jolie, but I'd choose Charlize Theron."
On the personal front, he seems content. He says, "Marriage is the most beautiful thing that has happened so far. Parveen (wife) is different, unlike those I spend most of my time with. What attracted me to Parveen is that she has no interest in the glam world."
What does she think about his new avtaar?
"She doesn't intrude upon my work, though she keeps a track of whatever is written about me. She feels this change should be good," he concludes.
