A former cook at Nariman House identified one of the slain attackers who had holed up inside the Jewish community centre during the 26/11 attack. The cook, Kazi Zakir Hussain (23), was employed with caretakers of the community centre, Rabbi Gabriel and wife Rivka Holsberg, for two years.

Hussain said he and a maid, Sandra, found the couple’s two-year-old son Moshe on the second floor and escaped with him on November 27 morning. The Jew couple and four guests had been killed the previous night.

Hussain said around 9.45 pm on November 26, he saw a gunman on the stairs who opened fired on him. Hussain and Sandra spent the night in the first floor storeroom.

The next day, they found Moshe on the second floor and escaped with him.
