Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan woke up in Berlin to thank his fans for giving a full house support for his latest film My Name Is Khan. "As the film releases and reports pour in praising Karan's work I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has gone to see the film," he
tweeted.

"I am humbled by this show of love and kindness. So don't know what else to say. Overwhelmed and promise will make India proud with my hard work," Shah Rukh exclaimed.

Multiplexes in Mumbai started screening the film post noon as fans all across the country filled in the seats to show their support amid sporadic protests.

In New Delhi MNIK had a smooth release and Kolkata saw fans queueing up to watch the film in various theatres across the city, whereas Mumbaikars went to theatres amid heavy police presence and thorough security checks.

"Only regret our own city Mumbai is still to see it in full flow. I just want to tell everyone that I feel more patriotic than ever before."

MNIK ran into trouble over Shah Rukh's statement that Pakistani cricketers should have been included in this year's edition of the Indian Premier League.

Shah Rukh portrays Rizwan Khan in the film, an autistic man who finds love and family with Kajol, in the post 9/11 New York.
