A day after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar returned the flood relief money to Narendra Modi Government, BJP on Monday said the central leadership will meet on Tuesday to discuss the political developments in the state. "BJP Central leadership is keeping an eye on the political
situation in Bihar. Our party president and other senior leaders are not in the capital. They will be in New Delhi on Tuesday and we will discuss the issue," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.

With BJP President Nitin Gadkari expected to reach the capital on Monday, a meeting of the party top brass is likely to be held tomorrow.

Hussain said Gadkari would be apprised of the developments in Bihar, including the return of Rs. five core of flood money that was given to the state for Kosi flood relief in 2008.

When asked if BJP had any plans of going it alone in the forthcoming Bihar elections in October, Hussain said there had been no such discussion in the party on the issue till now.

BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi on Monday pulled out of functions to be addressed by Nitish. Sources said other BJP leaders in Bihar have also been asked not to attend the Biswas Yatra. The programme was later cancelled.
