Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot condemned Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor for his 'cattle class' remarks, asking him to resign.
Terming the statement made about people travelling in economy class as "unfortunate," Gehlot said Tharoor should not only apologise
but submit his resignation.
Congress spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan had earlier termed the phrase as "unacceptable" and said Tharoor was perhaps not conscious of local sensitivities since he was new to Indian politics.
