Raising a banner of revolt against Lalu Prasad, his brother-in-law Sadhu Yadav on Tuesday accused the RJD chief of "kneeling down" before LJP president Ram Vilas Paswan and announced that he will contest from two seats in Bihar which have been given to LJP.
"I am a sitting MP and have
been winning elections. Prakash Jha was nothing but has been given a ticket from Betiah seat even as he had lost in the last election. This shows that Lalu Prasad has knelt down before Ram Vilas Paswan," Yadav said.
Yadav, who is MP from Gopalganj constituency, is unlikely to get party ticket this time as his constituency Gopalganj has now become reserve seat from where he cannot contest.
Prakash Jha of LJP has been given ticket from Betiah seat following a seat sharing agreement between RJD and LJP.
Sadhu Yadav said he will contest election from Betiah and as well as Motihari seats.
"Lalu Prasad Yadav has failed to ensure social justice, by giving ticket to Prakash Jha from Betiah seat and forging an alliance with the LJP," Sadhu Yadav said.
RJD and LJP on Tuesday entered into a seat sharing deal under which Lalu Prasad's party will contest 25 seats and Paswan's LJP will contest in 12 constituencies, leaving the remaining three seats to Congress party.
In the 2004 elections, RJD had contested 26 seats out of a total of 40 in Bihar while LJP had put up candidates in eight constituencies.
