Three persons arrested in connection TV journalist Soumya Vishwanathan today refused to appear in Test Identification Parade (IP), giving a jolt the Delhi police. "The TIP is meaningless as the police have not only taken our photographs but also video-graphed us in custody," the three
arrested men Ravi Kapoor, Amit Kumar Shukla and Baljit Malik told Metropolitan Magistrate Ravinder Singh.

They alleged the TIP was unnecessary as as they have been shown to Soumya's relatives during the custody.

The trio, who were in jail since their arrest on March 23 in connection with the murder case of call centre employee Jigisha Ghosh, were taken into custody by the Delhi Police in Soumya's case after getting the court's nod in this regard today.

The accused, who were quizzed in court premises as well, were later sent to judicial custody till April one.

Besides the three, Ajay Kumar has been made an accused in the killing of Soumya who was working with Headlines Today news channel.

She was found shot dead in her car on September 30 last year while returning home from office at around 3:30 am.

Police claimed to have cracked the six-month old case with the the arrest of the three in connection with Ghosh's killings.
