Police say three of the four men arrested in connection with the abduction and murder of Hewitt Associates’ employee Jigeesha Ghosh were also involved in journalist Soumya Vishwanathan’s murder last September. DCP (south) HGS Dhaliwal said, “There were a lot many commonalities in the two
cases. Both the murders happened in a radius of one kilometre. They were reported around the same time in the early hours of the day, in both the cases solitary, working women were targeted.”

Police said, on September 30, the main accused, Ravi Kapoor, along with Amit Kumar Shukla and Baljeet Malik was at a party at Shukla’s house. A fourth man who was involved  in Vishwanathan’s murder is still absconding.

Drunk, the men reached PVR Priya complex and were hanging around when they saw Soumya’s car pass by.

Police claim the four men chased Vishwanathan when she did not stop her car, and Kapoor shot her dead.
