India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India today launched the new Maruti Alto in petrol and CNG options priced between Rs. 2.44 lakh to Rs. 3.56 lakh.

Last weekend was the most unsuccessful one for Bollywood this year. All three releases — Aiyyaa, Bhoot Returns and Makkhi — were duds at
the box-office.

Opposition parties might charge Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with maintaining silence on key issues but he addresses gatherings every third day, his office said.

The unexpected announcement came a day after Citigroup published its third-quarter earnings. The board unanimously elected Michael Corbat, manager of the bank's business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, to succeed Vikram Pandit.
