Salman Khurshid was India's new external affairs minister as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today effected a major revamp of his council of ministers, inducting 22 faces, including seven of cabinet rank, in what is said to be the last major ministerial shuffle before the 2014 general elections.

Prime Minister said he always wanted him in the government but he has pre-occupations. "He wants to strengthen the party," he said.

Reigning champion Sebastian Vettel rattled off his fourth successive win of the season in the Indian Grand Prix in New Delhi on Sunday to tighten his grip on the title showdown with three races remaining.
