    PM to visit Pranab's house after Prez polls results

    Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit  Pranab Mukherjee's house after the results of the July 19 Presidential elections are out later today, official sources said. The Prime Minister will also attend the banquet at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the evening to be given in the honour of
    the new President, the sources said.

    "The Prime Minister will be visitng Mr Mukherjee's house to congratulate him. In the evening he will attend a banquet at Rashtrapati Bhavan," the sources said.

    With the results likely to be out at about 4pm on Sunday, Mr Mukherjee, who was the UPA candidate for the Presidential poll, is set to be the new President of India having mustered last minute support from the Trinamool Congress.

    Besides all UPA allies, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party also supported Mr Mukherjee.

    The new President will be administered the oath of office by Chief Justice of India SH Kapadia on July 25.
