Raksha Bandhan gave actor Salman Khan, who is currently serving time in Jodhpur’s Central jail, a reason to smile. Jail authorities on Tuesday morning gave his parents and two sisters, Arpita and Alvira, special permission to visit him on Raksha Bandhan. Khan has been in the jail for
four days, serving a five-year sentence in a blackbuck hunting case. Khan is waiting for relief from Rajasthan High Court, which is scheduled to hear his revised petition on Wednesday.

According to jail sources, Khan, disappointed to know that his parents were denied permission to meet his on Monday evening, refused to have dinner. However Tuesday morning, he waited eagerly for his sisters. They spent 20-25 minutes with the actor, sources said, adding that the sisters also offered him kaju katli. He was depressed but tried to hide his emotions on meeting his sisters.

“Salman also tried to look composed, while meeting his parents and asked them about other family members,” sources said.
