Aamir Ali is thankful to girlfriend Sanjeeda Sheikh. He ought to be because she had convinced him to be a part of
Nach Baliye 3. "Took me a good month and a half to do that," mutters Sheikh.
Did they expect to win? Predictably, Ali and Sheikh maintain that they never thought
about the trophy while entering the contest. "The minute you do that, you're bound to get out in the initial rounds," says Ali.
Tough times
Ali reveals that the toughest round was the prop round.. they used a table as a prop. "Everyone calls it the table round now," he smiles. Who were their toughest competitors? "Rakhi (Sawant) and Abhishek (Awasthi)," says Ali. Sheikh adds more names: Kashmera Shah-Krushna Abhishek and Pooja Bedi-Hanif Hilal.
K factor
Just last week, Prachi Desai won Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and there was much talk about Ekta Kapoor having pulled the right strings.

Didn't Kapoor support Ali and Sheikh as well? "Of course! Ekta told us, if you guys win, we'll have three winners at Balaji," smiles Sheikh. Their winning is being attributed to their daily presence on television as well. "I don't know about myself but Sanjeeda is really popular, thanks to Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka," says Ali proudly .
What about judge Ishaa Koppikar being floored by all their performances? The couple laughs, "She's been a very fair judge. She's a friend, yes, but she was lenient with everyone."
Winners take it all
Are they upset with the way Sawant and Awasthi took their loss? The duo walked out as soon as the winners were declared. "Rakhi should have taken the defeat gracefully.. I wish they had appreciated the fairness of the game," sighs Sheikh.
Which brings us to the previctory bash hosted by Ali and Sheikh. Sawant and Awasthi were conspicuous by their absence. "We have no issues with Rakhi or Abhishek. I did send her an SMS inviting her for the party," clarifies Ali.
What are their plans now? Ali says he has to shoot for a couple of days after which they are off on a short trip to Goa.
Lastly, was there ever a point in the show when they were sure of getting booted out? Ali and Sheikh chime, "We never thought about the next round. We stayed calm and cool always."
