Sitting PMK MP M Ramadoss, seeking re-election for a second successive term in the May 13 Lok Saha poll in Puducherry, met former Chief Minister and Congress stalwart N Rangasamy at his residence on Wednesday, to seek his vote. Rangasamy, a key leader of ruling Congress, has
distanced himself from all party sponsored programmes after being replaced as Chief Minister in August 2008 by V Vaithilingam, under whose leadership the present ministry was formed in September 2008. Rangasamy is however much sought after.

Ramadoss was accompanied by PMK legislators and some party functionaries.

PMK is challenging Congress (whose nominee is yet to be announced) in the present elections.

Probable Congress candidate V Narayanasamy had already met Rangasamy last week, seeking his support at the polls.

Nothing has yet been heard from Rangasamy on his strategy, though he is most crucial and indispensable section in view of his sway among voters in some constituencies.
