A day after asking Indian Hockey Federation chief KPS Gill to resign, Sports Minister MS Gill parried questions on the matter, saying everything would be sorted out in the Indian Olympic Association's (IOA) meeting on Monday. "We have a meeting on Monday where Mr Gill has been invited.
Everything would be sorted out there," he said on the sidelines of a seminar organised by the Athletics Federation of India.

Gill had asked the IHF chief, who has been at the helm close to 15 consecutive years, to quit after Federation secretary K Jothikumaran was caught on camera taking bribe purportedly to select a player.

The IHF President had brushed aside the minister's call and had instead stated that "whole government does not resign if a minister does something wrong."

The former IPS officer has been under fire ever since India failed to qualify for the Olympics for the first time in 80 years but he has defiantly stood his ground.

However, the Jothikumaran expose has mounted fresh pressure on him to step down with former Olympians accusing Gill of being solely responsible for the mess in IHF.
