Bipasha Basu is crazy about football and has watched most of the matches played at the ongoing FIFA World Cup, even those that kicked off post-midnight. “The elders in the family, and that includes John’s (beau John Abraham) dad, would go to bed, but John, his brother, my brother-in-law and I, along
with some friends, would stay up most nights,” she admits.
The actress says that she was first supporting Brazil, and then Argentina. After both the South American teams were knocked out, she placed her bet on the “young but perfectly synchronised” Germans. “During the semi-final match, it was red against white. The Germans looked like World beaters but the Spaniards put one over them, and now it’s Spain for me too,” she says.
