With the arrest of four associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba planning an attack on the city during Lok Sabha polls, Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday claimed to have unearthed a module of the Pakistan-backed militant outfit.

The arrests were made last evening, a police spokesman said adding five grenades were recovered from their possession. The group was planning to carry out an attack in the city in the coming summer, the spokesman said.

Polling in the Srinagar parliamentary constituency is slated for May 7. "This is considered to be a major setback to the LeT outfit in Srinagar as they were also strengthening the OGW network of the outfit in the city," the spokesman said.
Some cases of grenade attack have been solved with their arrest, the spokesman added
