Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Sunday asked all those protesting the violence in Nandigram to work together to strengthen the movement against "state-sponsored terrorism". "Many people are raising their voices against what is happening in Nandigram. I appeal to them to work
together so that the movement is strengthened," Banerjee, who managed to enter here riding pillion on a motorbike after the CPI(M) blockaded roads near Kolaghat on her way to Nandigram, told reporters.

She also condemned the police action against intellectuals and their arrest in Kolkata and said it had happened because they had dared to protest 'state sponsored terrorism'.

To a question on deployment of CRPF in Nandigram, the TC supremo said "what will they do now? They will find empty villages".

She reiterated "we want that the CRPF should be under central supervision. Killing and atrocities by CPI-M goons have been continuing for the last 10 days".

"Why is the Centre allowing the state government to unleash terrorism?", she said.
