The Tarn Taran police claimed to have seized 16-kg heroin in two separate cases and arrested three persons. The contraband is valued at Rs. 80 crore in the international market.

Rachpal Singh on Wednesday got information that a person named Gurmeet Singh was into drug business and had contacts across the border.
Working on the tip-off, the CIA inspector laid a naka near on a bridge near Bhouse village. During checking, suspect Gurmeet Singh was stopped and 15 packets of heroin of 1-kg each were seized from his possession, the SSP claimed.
The SSP said more recoveries are also expected after questioning of the suspects.
