Man gets 10-year RI for raping daughter

Pronouncing fourth judgment in rape cases since its inception, the court of additional sessions judge Neelam Arora on Friday awarded 10 years' rigorous imprisonment to a man for raping his own daughter in June 2010.
Stating that the accused had tarnished the pious father-daughter
relation, the court awarded 10-year jail to Pargat Singh of Johal village, who was booked for rape on by Majitha police on June 9, 2010 on the complaint of the victim. The victim, in her complaint had alleged that on June 6, 2010, when she was sleeping, her father entered her room at around 11 pm and raped her. She also charged the accused with issuing a threatening to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
