The additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Joram Beda on Thursday took the government's sangat darshan (public contact) programme to the district's villages.
He inspected all the pending works such as police verifications. Since September 3 at Bambhia Bhai, four such programmes have
been organised, so far. Thursday's campaign was at Badhni Kalan, where officials prepared 225 driving licences, 100 birth certificates, and 250 medical fitness certificates on the spot.

The team had welcomed the chance to work at the people's doorsteps, said Beda. "If the service is anything short of best, the administration will pull up the officials concerned," he added. All pending work is to be finished in 15 days.

Teams at Suwidha Centres will be responsible for providing people with documents and help. Rajwinder Kaur Bhagike, legislator from Nihal Singh Wala; Jagraj Singh Daudhar, member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC); former SGPC member Harinder Singh Ranian; and Jaspal Singh, former district president of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) were present.
