A boy along with a girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from a tube well, who were in love with each other, at Nathuwala village here in the district, police said on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old boy and a 20-year-old girl, seem to be in love-relationship were residents
of Dhurkot village of the district and belonged to the same community, were found hanging at a tube well last night, police said.
"The duo wanted to marry but the girl's parents performed her engagement with some other boy," they said.
On Tuesday morning, the owner of the tube well, after watching the bodies, informed the village head, who later informed the local police.
Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem and investigation is on, police said.
