Moga MLA Joginderpal Jain Friday appeared before the court of judicial magistrate Faridkot in the pending case registered against him under Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act in 2007 by Mehna police. The next date of hearing will be on April 5.
Jain had been reportedly
absent from the court for the past about five hearings. On last date of hearing, the court had given him exemption from the personal appearance as the assembly session was going on.

The court had issued arrest warrants for his family members including his wife Swarnlata Jain, daughter Rohini Jain and sons Akshit Jain and Puneet Jain after they failed to appear before the court on subsequent hearings on March 14, but Jain got the exemption on his request.

The other four members of his family  also filed the bail applications on March 17 in the court of  additional district and sessions judge Faridkot after the issuance of the arrest warrants against them which are likely to be taken up on March 23.
