At least 12 people, including children and women, were injured when a private mini-bus overturned near Shahabad village on the Batala-Qadian road on Thursday.
According to police, as the mini-bus, which was coming to Batala from Qadian, reached near Shahabad, the driver lost the
control over it. The vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree.
On receipt of information, police rushed the spot and took the injured to Civil Hospital, Batala.
The seriously injured were shifted to an Amritsar hospital. The injured were identified as Mukhtiar Masih, Nirmal Singh, Khajan Singh, Inderjeet Singh, Mukhtiar Singh, Gurmej Singh, Talwinder Singh, Amarjyoti, Balwinder Singh, Tajinder Kaur and Parkash Kaur.
