Punjab and Haryana high court chief justice Arjan Kumar Sikri administered the oath of office and secrecy to Amol Rattan Singh as additional judge of the high court on Friday.
Before the clearance of his name for elevation to the high court, justice Singh was the additional advocate
general of Punjab and represented the state in various important cases, including those on minor mineral mining.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by retired and sitting high court judges, their families and members of the High Court Bar Association.
With this, the strength of judges in the court has reached 43 out of the total sanctioned strength of 68.
