Police arrested one of the five suspects in the murder of two brothers of Bond Kalan village in Bhiwani district on Saturday.
While Parvesh is in the police net, main suspect Kulbeer Singh, 35, and his three brothers - Bhim Singh, Pawan and Nakul - are still at
large.

Simardeep Singh, Bhiwani superintendent of police, said: "Nearly 200 policemen are combing the area near the village where the accused were last seen by villagers."

On Wednesday night, Kulbeer had allegedly killed Rajinder Singh, 48, and Kuldeep Singh, 45, while they were irrigating the fields, villagers claimed.

Angered by the police's failure to arrest Kulbeer, wanted in eight criminal cases, villagers had torched a police station and set vehicles ablaze on Thursday.

The police had booked his brothers on murder charges after finding them involved in the crime.

Meanwhile, the police had registered a case against nearly 200 villagers for arson, assault and damaging public property.
