Sources at the Sector-3 police station said the police had questioned around six persons to know the truth, but they did not get any clue.

The police are facing a tough time in tracking where the victim, Inder, went on Monday, as he was not using a mobile phone.

The victim's family members told the police that neither he had many friends nor interacted much with people living in their vicinity.

The 24-year-old motor mechanic, a resident of Saketri, was found murdered near a school in Kaimbwala village near Sukhna Lake on Monday. He was seen lying in a pool of blood with his face and head smashed in a bid to destroy his identity.

The police are probing the angle that Inder, a habitual drinker, may have gone with some known persons to have drinks. There an altercation could have turned ugly.

The police are yet to get the post-mortem report of the victim.

I want to be a mobile

The 21st century is of the rise of the machines and the fall of human independence: a time when parents play with mobile phone and children grow up neglected. These stories are about not just one gadget but every plastic box that we have made our best companion and which has made us forget that machine is made for man, not the other way round.
