A special CBI court dismissed the bail application of suspended SP (City) Deshraj Singh on Thursday.
The court, considering the transcripts and the fact that investigations are in its initial stages, dismissed the bail plea.
Deshraj was caught taking bribe from Sector-26
police station SHO Anokh Singh.
Citing loopholes in the CBI trap case and his daughter's illness, Deshraj's counsel had filed for regular bail in the CBI court on November 5.
Vishal Garg Narwana, counsel of the accused, in his application had said the minor daughter of Deshraj, who is at present lodged in the Burail jail, has to undergo operation on December 3.
In the argument, the public prosecutor of the CBI said the accused's wife was educated and there were plenty of resources to take care of his daughter's operation. If the accused was given bail, he might tamper with the evidence.
