After barring the social networking site Facebook and videosharing site Youtube, for three days, the local internet providers restored the sites on Friday. While Facebook was barred by all the internet providers, except BSNL, YouTube was totally banned in the state. The BSNL
officials informed HT, that after receiving call from their Delhi office on Thursday morning, they lifted the ban on Youtube.

Youngsters, especially students have taken a long breath after the restoration of the websites.

"I am so happy to see that both the websites have been restored, now I will be able to access facebook account from my own mobile," said Meenakshi Sharma, 23, a student.

"I recently watched the movie Barfi but since YouTube wasn't working, I couldn't download the video of my favourite song. I was elated when I could view and download my favourite content from the site. Words fail to express my joy but I am shouting it loud to the people of J&K 'BROADCAST YOURSELF'," she added with joy.
