A brawl involving Arjun Badal, the 18-year-old son of People's Party of Punjab (PPP) chief Manpreet Badal, ended in a compromise on Monday.
Both parties were summoned by police on Monday, after which they resolved the matter amicably. According to Sector 22 police post incharge Ram
Rattan, 25-year-old Harivansh Singh withdrew his complaint against Arjun Badal and others involved in the case.

Though both parties arrived at a compromise, DSP (central) Ashish Kapoor maintained that police would conduct its own investigation and submit a report to higher authorities.

The incident took place at Hotel Sunbeam opposite the inter-state bus terminus at Sector 17 around 3am on March 9, in which Arjun Badal and his friends Fateh Singh and Ahsas Bhullar allegedly thrashed Harivansh in an inebriated condition.

In his police complaint, Harivansh, who works with a city-based private company, said that he along with his three friends, including two girls, had gone to the hotel for a get-together. Harivansh alleged that the accused threatened to throw him off the hotel roof after he objected to their behavior.
