In an era of fast food and instant gratification, how about getting a 10-storey building constructed in just 48 hours? Sounds impossible, but Harpal Singh of Synergy Thrislington, an SAS Nagar-based infrastructure company, is committed to make it happen.

He is coming up with the "factory-made building", the construction of which was inaugurated on Thursday by Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal at industrial area, Phase 1, SAS Nagar.

The project envisages 10 floors of 'Instacon' skyscraper within 48 hours. Three cranes and more than 200 highly skilled technicians and workers were pressed into service, even as a slew of video cameras in all corners recorded the construction process.

Speaking on the occasion, Sukhbir Badal said, "This is an amazing believe-it-or-not project. I am proud that it is Punjab's privilege to host such a revolutionary technology. Such rapid construction concept will definitely help in the development of the state and the country. I congratulate the Synergy team and Harpal Singh for making this possible."

Sukhbir Singh Badal desired that the technology moved to the interiors of Punjab and fostered infrastructure growth in the rural sector too.
