The Bhiwani police's efforts to arrest a suspect in the murders of two brothers of Bond Kalan village in Bhiwani district remained futile on Friday.
On Wednesday night, Kulbeer Singh, 35, allegedly killed Rajinder Singh, 48, and Kuldeep Singh, 45, while they were irrigating the
fields, villagers claimed. Angered by the police's failure to arrest Kulbeer, villagers torched a police station and set vehicles ablaze on Thursday.

Kulbeer is a convict in a murder case of 2002 and has jumped parole in 2007.

Hisar range inspector general AS Chawla told mediapersons: "Six police teams are on the job to hunt down Kulbeer. Based on an input, we are searching fields of Bond Kalan, where he was last seen. Villagers are assisting us in the search operation."

A source said police were questioning jail inmates, who had served sentence along with Kulbeer.

Bhiwani deputy commissioner Ashok Meena said "The situation is under control and the police are making efforts to arrest the wanted criminal."

Meanwhile, the police have booked brothers of Kulbeer, identified as Bhim Singh, Pawan Singh, Nakul Singh and Parvesh Singh, for assisting him in the crime.
