The Consumer Federation of Ration Card Holders (CFRCH) has lodged a complaint with the secretary, food and supplies department, alleging irregularities in appointment of inspector of the department as central public information officer (CPIO).
In the complaint, CFRCH leadership
alleged that the food and supplies has wrongly designated a female inspector as CPIO as well as assistant CPIO.
The president of federation Rajinder Kumar Gupta stressed that the charge of the post in Punjab and Haryana has designated district food and supplies officers (DFSO), which is not the case in Chandigarh.
Gupta further requested the secretary to designate the DFSO as the CPIO to ensure smooth functioning of the RTI branch of the department.
