Ishant Sharma, who is lacking confidence after conceding 30 runs in one over during India's dramatic loss against Australia at Mohali in the third ODI, spent more than a hour in the middle of JSCA Stadium in Ranchi.

While the team enjoyed a day off training on Monday, Ishant and reserve paceman Jaydev Unadkat both worked hard with bowling coach Joe Dawes.

Even though Sharma has disappointing figures of 2-189 with an economy rate nearing eight runs per over across the first three games this series, Indian captain MS Dhoni had suggested it would be unwise to dump a fast bowler with 51 Tests and 69 ODIs experience after just one or two games.

BCCI had named unchanged squad for the rest of four ODIs, the first of which is to be played in Ranchi on Wednesday.

MS Dhoni (captain, wicketkeeper), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Amit Mishra, Ambati Rayudu, Mohammad Shami, Jaydev Unadkat
