A police team from Fatehabad in Haryana on Sunday inspected a flat in Zirakpur where a minor girl was allegedly raped by a bus driver for a month.
The accused, Fatehabad resident Baldev Singh, had allegedly kidnapped the girl in January after offering her a drink laced with sedative. He
had then brought the victim, a first-year college student, to Zirakpur and raped her for nearly a month. The victim had managed and reached home on February 27. The police registered a case after the victim's family approached them a day later.
The flat is located at a society named Gulmohar Trends in Dhakoli. The accused has been arrested. Police said the flat was owned by Major Singh, a relative of the accused. Local police were not intimated by the Haryana police team about the visit.
