Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday ordered an inquiry into the alleged re-totalling scam at Guru Ravi Das Ayurvedic University.
He directed the principal secretary, medical education and research, to conduct the inquiry and fix the responsibility of the officials involved in
irregularities in re-totalling of answer sheets in 2011, when some students were allegedly given undue benefit.
A spokesperson said Badal had asked the principal secretary to look into the matter and give suggestions to make the examination as well as evaluation system foolproof to check such malpractices and ensure transparency in the examination process.
The chief minister also asked the inquiry officer to fix punishment for the unscrupulous elements involved in committing irregularities.
