After having dubbed the Congress as a "dead party", Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday dismissed the Congress-led UPA government's report card as "a post-mortem report and a listless obituary."
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president, who is set to conclude his week-long private visit to an undisclosed tourist destination abroad, slammed the Congress for holding a function in New Delhi to mark the ninth year of the UPA government.
"Everybody knows that the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) has been lying in a mortuary for many years now," Sukhbir said in a press statement. "They are trying to hide the mortal state of the Congress and the UPA and cover up the causes of mortality under the camouflage of this photo-op, which has proved to be a desperate but failed publicity gimmick."
"It's a government on its way out but it leaves behind a legacy of a country shamed by daylight rapes, murders and robberies everywhere, including the national capital," the deputy CM said.
