Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal's press briefing on Wednesday turned ugly when he asked a woman journalist if she could repeat the abuse his party colleague Bikram Singh Majithia had uttered in the Vidhan Sabha.
Sukhbir and Majithia were defensive at the briefing when
journalists grilled the brothers-in-law on the episode of exchange of abuses inside the assembly.
"Madam, could you please repeat the abuse?" Sukhbir quipped with a smile on his face.
Taking offence, mediapersons objected to the deputy CM's ill-mannered demand.
Majithia and Congress MLA Rana Gurjit had hurled abuses at each other during the pandemonium in the House, after which the speaker suspended the Congress MLA but took no action against Majithia.
