After much debate and deliberation, the Panjab University (PU) authorities have finally put the 'diluted' form for students to evaluate their teachers, on the varsity website.
While the form was diluted during debate, it was not updated until the student bodies at the varsity protested and demanded that it be put on the website.
The form is now online and can be downloaded from www.campusstudent.puchd.ac.in and submitted to the department concerned.
However, only the students with 75% attendance and no re-appear will be allowed to give their feedback for the teachers, which will then be forwarded to the teacher concerned.
The students' council and members from National Student Union of India (NSUI) had raised the voice at a syndicate meeting held on April 25 and
urged the authorities to implement 'Teachers' feedback' from the current session.
NSUI party president Manoj Lubana said, "In the last council elections held in September 2012, we had promised to implement the teachers' feedback, and, now, we've fulfilled our promise. Very soon we will distribute the feedback forms in all the departments."
Another NSUI leader, Sanjeev Sharma, said that the initiative would improve the student-teacher relationship.
