A heavy fog and speed restriction hits the rail traffic here on Tuesday with several trains running late and one train cancelled too which caused inconvenience to passengers who stranded for hours at the city railway station.
The trains, including 12203 Garib Rath was running late by
12 hours, 12903 Frontier was late by five hours, 18237 Chattisgarh express was seven hours and 20 minutes late, 13049 Howrah Express was late by six hours, 12029 Shatabdi express was late by two hours, 12716 Amritsar Nanded Express was late by seven hours while 14681 New Delhi Jalandhar Express was late by nine hours.
Whereas down trains, including 12716 Sachkhand express was running late by seven hours, 12460 Superfast was late by four hours and 12014 Shatabdi express by two hours.
The passengers were seen jostling at the inquiry counters to get updates on train arrivals.
