NGO 'HELP' has sent a legal notice to the state government over lewd songs for portraying women into an indecent manner and demanded immediate ban along with action against singers over these songs.

In the notice, the NGO has mentioned the songs of Amar Singh Chamkila, Honey Singh,
Diljit Dosanjh, Geeta Zaildar, Gippy Grewal and others.

The NGO alleged that the songs were not only dangerous for our culture but also promoted the incidents of rape into society.

The NGO has also demanded to set up a censor board for screening of songs or music videos for obscenity so that these types of songs could be stopped to come into market.
