New commander at Adampur Air Force Station

Air Commodore M Fernandez handed over the command of Air Force Station Adampur to group Captain R Bhasin on Sunday. Fernandez has recently been promoted to the rank of Air vice-Marshal at Air Headquarters, Vayu Bhawan in New Delhi. Air Commodore M Fernandez was commissioned in the Indian Air Force on December 29, 1982.

Before taking over the command of Air Force Station Adampur, he was appointed as Air – I at Head Quarters Western Air Command, Indian Air Force in New Delhi.

He has undergone various courses including Joint Air Warfare Course, Defence Services Staff College Course etc, through his career spanning 28 years.  For his distinguished services, the officer has been decorated with Vayu Sena Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal.
