Three Jalandhar-based youths were killed in a road accident on Saturday late night when the Skoda car (PB08-BP-0082) in which they were traveling from Jalandhar to Chandigarh rammed into a tree near Garhi Kanugo Chowk in Balachaur town.
The youths were identified as Shrey Kohli (21)
of Tagore Nagar, Rishabh Kumar (22) of FCI Colony and Dheeraj Jain (23) of New Jawahar Nagar of Jalandhar. The three, it is learnt, hailed from business families of Jalandhar and had been friends for past many years.

Police said the car was over speeding when it rammed into the tree. The collision was so strong that the police had to take the help of people to retrieve the bodies from the mangled remains. The bodies were handed over to the families on Sunday after post-mortem at Balachaur civil hospital.
