Former Bholath MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira today flayed the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for taking credit of centre-sponsored projects by ignoring the elected Congress Member Parliaments.
Khaira was addressing media persons here, ahead of the visit of state chief minister Parkash
Singh Badal to Bholath.

Khaira said "Badal would inaugurate three big projects in Bholath during his proposed visit in the constituency on December 11. The polytechnic institute was built using the grant received from ministry of human resource and development; widening of roads is being done using grants of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna and civil hospital at Bholath was built using funds received under National Rural Health Mission. So, all these projects are centre sponsored but nowhere the state government has given any credit to union government.

SAD has not even mentioned the name of sitting Hoshiarpur Member Parliament Santosh Chowdhary on the stones laid at all the above projects he added.

He also urged Badal not to share dais with Bholath MLA Bibi Jagir Kaur who had been convicted by a special CBI court for five years of rigorous imprisonment and is currently out on bail. "If ever Badal shares dais with a convicted MLA and got felicitated from her as per customs, it would give a very wrong signal to the youth" he said adding that, "many more Ranjit Rana would get encouraged with this."
